This course instructs existing North Carolina notaries public in the legislated procedure required to exercise electronic notarial acts as set forth by the N.C. Secretary of State. Attending students must be 19 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, never been convicted of a felony, and hold a valid commission as a N.C. Notary Public.

The course covers the N.C. E-Notary Act, eligibility and registration, E-notary processes, technology solutions and providers, E-notarizations ethics, consequences of misconduct, and security standards.

Prerequisite: Participants must be a current Notary Public and will need to provide a government-issued photo ID and your N.C. Notary Public commission number.
